Abstract

“International Journal of Curriculum and Instructional Studies” is now publishing its ninth issue. As previously announced, The 3rd International Curriculum and Instruction Congress will be held from October 22 to 24, 2015 in Adana with the cooperation of Çukurova University and EPÖDER. Based on the journal’s manuscript guidelines and review process, we plan to publish selected papers presented at the congress in our journal.

The first article included in this issue was authored by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmet DOĞANAY and his team. This article titled, “Search for a New Model in Pre-Service Teacher Education” is the report on the workshop organized by the Curriculum and Instruction Program of the Faculty of Education at Çukurova University and EPÖDER from 25 to 26 September, 2014 in Adana. Additionally, included in this issue are the following articles: “Prospective Teachers’ Opinions about Instructional Technologies and Material Design Course” by Assist. Prof. Dr. Taha YAZAR; “Metaphors on Lifelong Learning Concept” by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Meral GÜVEN, Research Assistant Esma YILDIRIM and Gülnaz ÇELEN; “Dramatization in Teacher Education: A Study on Teaching Learning Theories” by Banu YÜCEL TOY; “Cooperative Learning Method in the Third Grade Life Studies Course and Students’ Reflective Thinking Skills” by Research Assitant Deniz Gökçe ERBİL and Prof. Dr. Ayfer KOCABAŞ; “The Effect of the Support Program Prepared for 60-72 Month-Old Socially Disadvantaged Children on Their Primary School Readiness” by Özgül POLAT and Fatih DİLLİ; and “Analysis Of School Counselors’ Continuing Education Needs” by Assist. Prof. Dr. Ayşen KÖSE ŞİRİN and Assist. Prof. Dr. Yelkin DİKER COŞKUN.

Once again, we invite educators in the field of Curriculum and Instruction to submit original manuscripts with high levels of scientific quality. Inclusion in international subject indexes is linked to the scientific quality of articles published in the journal and we attach great importance the review process and accept articles selectively.

As in previous congresses, we hope to share and discuss studies in our field with an international scope and participation from October 22 to 24, 2015.
