The explanatory sequential design, which is one of the mixed methods research designs, was used in this study. The study group of this research consisted of pre-service teachers who were studying at Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University, Faculty of Education, Pedagogical Formation Training Certificate Programme (n = 14). While parametric test statistics were used in the analysis of the quantitative data, content analysis technique was employed in the analysis of the qualitative data. According to the results of the study, it was concluded that teaching practices have a statistically significant effect on the attitude of pre-service teachers towards the profession and that these practices were not effective in developing their sense of efficacy beliefs.
